SmolTalk is designed with privacy in mind. We process your messages only to provide the service, and we don't store your message content. Your data stays yours.

We collect minimal information to make the app work:

• Workspace Information: Your Slack workspace ID and name
• Authentication Token: A secure token to verify your workspace
• Bot User ID: To identify our bot in your workspace

What We Don't Collect

• We don't store your messages or message content
• We don't read your Slack conversations
• We don't track your usage patterns
• We don't collect personal information beyond workspace identity
• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers

How We Use Your Data

Here's exactly what happens when you use /nice:

1. You type /nice [your message]
2. We send your message to an AI service for transformation
3. The AI generates a nicer version of your message
4. We show you the result (visible only to you)
5. Your original message and the transformed version are not stored

We use third-party AI and hosting services to provide SmolTalk. These services have their own privacy policies and security measures. Your messages are processed in real-time and not stored by us.

Data Storage & Security

• What we store: Only your workspace authentication token (encrypted in our database)
• What we don't store: Messages are processed in real-time and never saved
• Security: All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
• Access: Only necessary for app functionality; no human access to tokens

Your Rights & Control

You have full control over your data:

• Remove the app: Uninstall SmolTalk from your Slack workspace at any time
• Data deletion: When you remove the app, your workspace token is automatically deleted
• No tracking: We don't track you across sites or services
• Transparency: Our code handles your data exactly as described here

Permissions & Scopes

SmolTalk requests minimal Slack permissions:

• commands - To receive and respond to the /nice command

That's it! We don't request permissions to read your messages, access channels, or view user information. We only see what you explicitly send via the /nice command.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
