Agreement to Terms

By installing and using SmolTalk, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use SmolTalk.

Description of Service

SmolTalk is a Slack application that uses artificial intelligence to transform direct messages into more polite and friendly versions. You use the /nice command, and we provide a transformed version of your message.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use SmolTalk only for lawful purposes. You will not:

  • Use the service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or access the service's underlying code
  • Abuse the service through excessive requests or automated usage
  • Violate Slack's Terms of Service or Anthropic's Acceptable Use Policy
  • Use the service to impersonate others or mislead people

AI-Generated Content

Important points about the messages SmolTalk generates:

  • No guarantees: AI-generated content may not always be perfect or appropriate
  • Your responsibility: You are responsible for reviewing and choosing to send transformed messages
  • Not advice: SmolTalk doesn't provide professional, legal, or medical advice
  • Review before sending: Always read the transformed message before using it

Service Availability

We strive to keep SmolTalk available 24/7, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to perform maintenance, updates, or experience service disruptions. We're not liable for any damages resulting from service unavailability.

Pricing & Changes

SmolTalk is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce pricing or modify features in the future. If we introduce charges, we'll provide advance notice to existing users.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Intellectual Property

SmolTalk and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the service provider. You retain ownership of any content you input into SmolTalk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmolTalk and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Service interruptions or errors
  • Issues arising from AI-generated content
  • Third-party actions or content

Disclaimer of Warranties

SmolTalk is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be error-free or that transformed messages will meet your expectations.

Termination

You may stop using SmolTalk at any time by uninstalling it from your Slack workspace. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the service for violations of these terms.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We'll notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of SmolTalk after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Third-Party Services

SmolTalk integrates with Slack and Anthropic's Claude API. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. We're not responsible for third-party services.
